A collection of images from January 2018.
Every year I take a photo a day in the month of January.
It’s so fun looking back at these images, little snippets of our day. It’s these normal, every day moments that I want to photograph the most. Let’s face it, these days we don’t go out a whole lot, and when we do, there’s barely time enough to take a photo – except for that one time we had a beach holiday! It’s at home where the girls are most themselves, where they play in corners of the house, where Pepper dances with free abandon and Coco wanders around clutching a dolly.
This summer Coco learned how to make that adorable kissing noise, sounding something like ‘mmmmmaaa!’. The two girls interacted in the cutest ways, and in some not so cute ways too. Pepper is growing before our eyes. Sometimes she is quiet and reflective, other times loud and a complete three-nager!
This January we visited family and celebrated my dad’s birthday, even though he is no longer here. I know that he would be laughing if he saw what the girls get up to, and while I’m sad that he doesn’t get to see them grow up, I know we’ll all be together laughing someday again.
Early in the month we house-sat for friends and had a most wonderful time by the ocean. Pepper is a little water child, and the sunset we experienced one night was the best I’ve seen in my life, made even better by the company and spontaneity of it all.
I can look back on this January and smile, and for that I am grateful.
Love love love! Such special photos of your daughters!
