my first film camera was a lomo lca+, purchased in a flurry of excitement when i was 15 years old. i squealed when i got the first photos back from the lab and was amazed at the colours and clarity. since then, i’ve had a variety of different film cameras – a holga, diana mini, an slr mamiya – all sourced from garage sales or friends. this month i bought myself a rangefinder – a contax G2, with a Carl Zeiss 28mm lens – some of the finest glass around!

I’ve been so excited to use this camera and been really impressed with the results. I really can’t wait to use it on our trip to New Zealand in October! I feel a sense of freedom when i shoot with film. It’s slower and more calculated. I love it.

film certainly isnt dead – I definitely wanna shoot on film one day for the first time ever and you’re photos are beautiful – as always
